Vanessa Williams-'Colors of the Wind' (from Pocahontas)

Vanessa Williams is an American singer-songwriter and actress. Williams made history on September 17, 1983 when she became the first woman of African American descent to be crowned Miss America. Williams' reign as Miss America came to an abrupt end when scandal led to her subsequent resignation of the title. Williams rebounded by launching a career as an entertainer, earning Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award nominations.She is also well-known for her outspoken support of gay rights, having won the Human Rights Campaign "Ally for Equality" award in 2008. She has 7 studio albums to her credits,many soundtracks and compilations as well.She has starred in the feature films 'Eraser', 'Shaft' and 'Soul Food' and can currently be seen in the ABC hit series 'Ugly Betty'. 'Colors of the Wind' went on to win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Grammy Award. As a single, 'Colors of the Wind' went on to reach #4 on the U.S. pop charts in 1995, and was one of Williams' biggest hits.The soundtrack also won The Academy Award for Best Original Score, sold 2.3 million copies in the remaining two months of 1995 alone, and went on to reach #1 on the Billboard 200.

the Go Go's-'Let's Get Together' (from the Parent Trap)

'Let's Get Together', was a popular song written for the 1961 Disney film, 'The Parent Trap'. It was sung by teen actress, Hayley Mills and it was written by the songwriting brother team of Robert and Richard Sherman, who also wrote for 'The Jungle Book'. In the motion picture, Hayley Mills sings a duet with herself. This is because she played twin sisters which was a technical feat in the early 1960's. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1961 (b/w "Cobbler, Cobbler") and went on to become a top 10 hit, peaking at number eight. The credit on the single read "Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills," referring to Mills singing a duet with herself. The song's success led Mills to record an album, 'Let's Get Together with Hayley Mills', which included 'Let's Get Together' and Mills' only other hit song, 'Johnny Jingo'.
The song was homaged in the 1998 remake of the film as well with Lindsay Lohan singing the title line, and Nobody's Angel performing the soundtrack version.The Go-Go's performed a cover on the 'DisneyMania 5' album in 2007.

Zac Efron-'Scream' (from High School Musical 3)

Here is a track from the fourthcoming 'High School Musical 3' soundtrack titled 'Scream'. It features Zac Efron (Troy).The soundtrack hits October 21, the film comes out that following Friday on October 24.



Ashley Tisdale-'Kiss the Girl'-The Video-(from The Little Mermaid)




Here is Ashley Tisdale's video for the single 'Kiss the Girl'. The song's music video consists of a girl at a school dance. As she hangs out with her friends, she notices a boy repeatedly glancing at her. The boy's friend encourages him to talk to Ashley, but every time he gets close, she goes somewhere else. The video ends with Ashley asking him to dance, and then at the end Ashley kisses him on the cheek...awwwwwwwwwwwww.

In 2006, when 'The Little Mermaid' was re-released on DVD as a 2-Disc Platinum Edition, another rendition of the song was recorded, this time performed by Ashley Tisdale. The song was first heard on Radio Disney on September 4, 2006, and the music video premiered on September 6, 2006 on Disney Channel, immediately following an episode of the sitcom 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody', as well as being featured on the DVD itself. It was also included on 'DisneyMania 5', released on March 27, 2007.In the first week of April 2007, Tisdale's version of 'Kiss the Girl' managed to debut on the Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles at #16 (which is equivalent to #116). One week later, the song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #81, becoming Tisdale's third charting single (if not including her songs that have charted from High School Musical) in her career, following her solo singles "Be Good to Me" and "He Said She Said".

'I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)' is a song from Walt Disney's 1967 film, 'The Jungle Book'. The song was sung by Louis Prima and written by songwriters Robert and Richard Sherman. According to Richard Sherman on the Platinum Edition DVD and on the soundtrack, the "scat dialogue" between Baloo and King Louie was the result of two recording sessions. Louis Prima recorded first, and when Phil Harris decided not to imitate Prima's recording, he made up his own. The Jonas Brothers, who have done several Disney projects recorded 'I Wan'na Be Like You' for 'Disney Mania 5'. 'DisneyMania 5' is the highest charting album of the series, peaking at #14, one position above 'DisneyMania 4'. However, it had the second lowest first week sales (behind 'DisneyRemixMania'). To date, 'DisneyMania 5' has sold a total amount of 190,104 copies. This track was one of the 6 singles released off the album. Pictured are the "brothers" with Goofy at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Where does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?

Former Batman depicter Michael Keaton is going to trade off his batsuit and don a killer 'animated' smile as Ken doll. Word has it the 56-year-old will be providing a voice to Barbie's boyfriend Ken in the third 'Toy Story' movie, 'Toy Story 3'. The scoop has been given out by Jodi Benson to IESB during an interview on Santa Catalina Island for the release of "The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning". Voicing Ken will be Keaton's second animation film project with Disney/Pixar. Previously, he lent his voice talent to Chick Hicks, the villain in 'Cars'.

Bolt-In Theatres November 21

'Bolt' is a 2008 CGI animated film produced by the Walt Disney Animation Studios, and will be Disney's 47th animated feature. It stars the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus. The Plot of 'Bolt', a West Highland West Terrior (a Westie) who has lived all his life on the set of a TV show in which he portrays a superhero dog, and as a result thinks that his superpowers are real. Later, he gets accidentally separated from the studio. He then meets a female cat named Mittens and a hamster with an exercise ball named Rhino, and eventually he discovers that all of his powers are fake. The film opens November 21.
